Did you guys really invent this type of no-holes style “ratchet” belt ?
No, these no-holes, track style belts where designed in Asia about 20 years ago. Most of them use a bulky magnetic system that’s prone to sticking and breakage. Not only that but when we first saw the system several years ago, we personally didn’t care for it’s bulky design. We felt it could be a lot better, so we stripped the mechanism out and set out to redesigned it in 2012. Our patented buckle uses a sleek, spring-loaded system that’s very reliable, won’t break easily and is nice to look at. So that’s why our competitors’ buckles aren’t patented and Trakline currently holds 4 patents. Just because you saw a company on Shark Tank doesn’t mean they invented it. Does Trakline Belt really have 4 patents ?

How do you know what Buckle Finish & Belt Color I want, and my Shipping Address ?
After the campaign ends on Feb. 28 we will email out a one-time SURVEY that will collect your reward choices (buckle finish, belt color, etc) and your Shipping Address to mail it to. We will also ask for your Email Address for tracking. We ship via the US Postal service (that’s why the shipping costs are low) and you will get a Tracking Number when your reward ships. International orders need to provide a Phone number for customs. Every other week we will email you an UPDATE that will tell you where the process is and when to expect your reward. What is the difference between Trakline ratchet belts and other ratchet style belts ?
There are a lot of subtle, and not so subtle, differences that make our Trakline belts the BEST for FIT, QUALITY, DURABILITY, DESIGN and WARRANTY. Here are a few points in no particular order > 1. Our Patented belt buckles use a spring-loaded system that’s very reliable, durable and doesn’t stick. Most other ratchet belts use a magnetic system that is prone to breakage and frequently sticks. The magnetic system has also been labeled as “bulky” and “gimmicky”. It is not patented and been made for about 20 years in Asia. When we first saw the magnetic style buckle back in 2010 and tested it out - it broke while wearing it. We actually had several break on us, so we quickly decided against using that design. We constructed our own, superior mechanism in our California studio in 2012. 2. We use both Full-Grain and Top-Grain Leather to construct our belts. Full-Grain is the outermost layer of cowhide and the BEST QUALITY, while Top-Grain is the 2nd layer just under that. Both are nice quality and last a long time, improving with age. The smooth belts shown here with the Express belts are Top-Grain. Almost all of the other ratchet style belt companies use a cheap bonded style leather (that’s glued pieces covered with a plastic film). This is how they are able to sell them so cheap, because the leather is very cheap and wears badly. 3. We use a 10” track that provides over 40+ adjustment positions. Every other ratchet belt company uses a 7” track. That means Trakline belts are over 120% more adjustable than other ratchet belts, and 800% more adjustable than traditional 5 hole belts. 4. Our buckles are made with either Solid Stainless Steel or high-grade alloys. The Express buckles here are high-grade zinc alloy. Other companies only use cheap alloys. 5. Most of our Trakline buckles (including the Express buckle) easily open beer and soda bottle tops. No other buckle brand does this. 6. Many of our Trakline models feature open style, unique buckle faces. They are all designed at our studio in San Diego, California. Many other brands only feature solid buckle faces. 7. How does your belt work with TSA and Airport security ?
When passing thru the TSA airport security you merely undo you belt buckle (pull the belt out of the buckle) and using your index finger - “pop off” the buckle. It takes 2 seconds. You place the buckle in the tray to go thru the x-ray machine - BUT you keep the leather belt around your waist. When you get thru security you merely “snap” your buckle back on the belt. You never need to remove the leather strap from your waist or re-thread it. So when do I get my New EXPRESS BELT ?
Our Kickstarter campaign ends on FEB. 28, 2016. Within a few days after the project ends we’ll email you a One-Time SURVEY to collect your buckle and belt selections (finishes and colors) as well as your shipping address. Kickstarter only allows us to send the survey once. You will be able to change your shipping address up until several days prior to shipping out rewards. We will then wait for about 90% of the Surveys to get filled out and returned. This will take about a week. Next, around MAR. 14 (2 weeks later after the campaign) Kickstarter wires us the money from the project. It’s at this point - when we have the money and tallied survey choices - that we can place our order with the factory. The factory will take about 30-40 days to manufacture the buckles and belts. Once completed, the Express belts will ship via ocean container to Los Angeles and then board a truck for our warehouse in San Diego. Once in San Diego - we will “turn off” we will notify Backers that they have 48 hours to make any final changes to their SHIPPING ADDRESSES. After that point the address will be locked. You change the address yourself. It will take us about 2 days to break down and organize the products for shipping to backers. Lastly it will take us about 7-10 days to package, label and ship all belts out to backers. We ship via US Postal Service 1st Class mail and you will receive a TRACKING NUMBER. All US shipments will take 2-5 days to reach their destination and International packages about 1-3 weeks depending on the country. So we expect to ship the very last part of APRIL or early MAY. Delays are always possible and have happened to us before - but as with all 4 of our previous Kickstarter projects - we always deliver and exceed most backers expectations. What method do you use to SHIP ?
We ship via United States Postal Service 1st Class. All backers will get a TRACKING NUMBER emailed to them when their package leaves our warehouse in San Diego, California. You can then track your package on the USPS website by entering the tracking number. Our goal is to ship all rewards to Backers in late APRIL or early MAY. Shipping times for USA destinations is typically about 2-5 days. Shipping times with International destinations varies greatly with each country, typically taking from 1-3 weeks. All International shipments are marked as a “Gift” and valued at $0.01 to avoid customs. We also ask for your email and phone number for customs. How do I SIZE my New Express Belt ?
ALL of the new Express Belts fit from 24” up to 44”. (We have XL and XXL belts up to 54” available on our website at www.KoreEssentials.com) First, attach the leather belt to the buckle using the receptacle with teeth. Then try the belt on feeding around your waist from Left to Right. The small release TAB should be under the buckle. The leading edge of the leather should “click” thru the buckle and Past the first belt loop on your pants by 3-4 inches. Then determine how much excess leather you’d like to trim off. Remove the belt from the buckle, get a sharp pair of household scissors and cut straight across. Use the trim marks printed on the back of the leather to assist you. We recommend if you’re not sure - cut less off and try the belt on a second time. Once you make the cut - you can’t put it back. Once trimmed re-attach the belt and buckle and wear daily. What about Project UPDATES ?
Once the Campaign is over (Feb 28, 2016) we will email a Project Update every 2 weeks to keep you in the loop. We found that if we do it more frequently, it can be annoying and we don’t always have anything new to report – and any less and backers get restless for information. So we consistently do 2 Updates per month - every other week. Please do not email or message us asking for an update. I know it seems innocent and you want to know - but we have over 6,000 backers and inevitably every week dozens of backers ignore the updates and email asking for a personal update. We just don’t have time to write out a personal update for you… we have a company we’re running. That’s why we do the Updates. If you don’t like updates - you can unsubscribe yourself and just wait for the reward to show up. We try to be candid in our updates and give you an honest assessment of where the project is in the process. Sometimes delays occur. We understand that if a delay occurs - some folks get anxious and even upset.
